Happy 90th Sondheim! I’m a day late but I wanted to post this. A few years ago I had the honor of singing one of my favorite (and trickiest) Sondheim songs with the @laphil at the @hollywoodbowl. I was so nervous that I actually had lyric prompts written on my palms...they sweated off but fortunately I still got thru it. Side note: I’ve only met Sondheim once. Ironically it was after a performance of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG (which this song is from). @suttonlenore introduced us backstage and I was so overwhelmed, all I could think of to say was “good job”. GOOD JOB?!?!?!?! 😭🤦🏼
