Economic uncertainty. Illness. Fear. I remember I was worried that day about something that seems insignificant now, as the worry I had related to the path I thought my life would most certainly take in the months ahead. Little did I know, there was an entirely different future ahead of me, one that would present its own challenges and blessings. This whole experience has reminded me of something we should really always know: We have such little control over life’s path and no guarantees for the future...but that is a part of what makes life SO beautiful isn’t it? Embracing that fact with an appreciation for the present moment, being anxious for nothing, loving the people who matter, being kind to all those around us and to ourselves and looking up with humility...that is what endures.
