To my non-Asian friends, fans, acquaintances... I’m sad to even write this. Please, please stand up for us when people discriminate, harass, or engage in any type of racist talk. This is a rough time for everyone, and I know people are losing family members. People are anxious about the unknown future. People are hurting and looking for a scapegoat. It’s all understandable, I think we can all empathize with that. But for some, this pain is resulting in acting out in violent ways - specifically toward Asians. RIGHT now. Not in fake news, and not even just in the actual news, but people you know in real life - your Asian friends and neighbors - are being attacked. Physically. Even if you don’t want to get involved in an altercation when you see one - please at the very least, just correct people when they call it the “Chinese virus” disease, and gently urge them to call it COVID-19, which is the scientific name. Those of us who are reasonable, may wonder how something so trivial could perpetuate racism; why should it matter what we call a virus or disease, when so many are named after the place they originated? Words are only words! But please, believe me when I tell you, there are SO MANY ignorant people out there right now who are hearing “Chinese virus” and acting out against Chinese (and all Asian) people. This is happening in my real life, and in the lives of people around me. Maybe u don’t care, because it doesn’t affect you personally - or maybe you think this message doesn’t apply to you because YOU yourself would never engage in racism. But if you jerk off to me getting assfucked, please help. If you’ve ever enjoyed my porn, or you consider yourself a fan of my books, or podcasts, or any media I’ve put out, please speak up when those around you are being ignorant. Because if you can love me for my content but not defend me as a human when it costs you nothing, I’m sorry to tell you this, but you’re high key kind of racist.
