Felt fitting to post about one of Australia's national treasures - takayna/the Tarkine in Tasmania. The largest temperate rainforest in the southern hemisphere. A truly awesome place whose history dates back millions of years, with tens of thousands of years of Aboriginal history. And sadly we're logging its ancient trees to turn them into wood chips 😢 There has to be a better way; surely a thousand year old tree is worth more alive?
