I was able to physically volunteer this morning at a food resource center set up at San Fernando High School. The cars were lined up with families... 5 blocks deep. We wore masks, gloves, and practiced social distancing. My heart was filled by these kids. Their excitement over their snack packs, the parent’s thankfulness for this service. It runs Monday through Friday from 7-10am or until they run out at 60 schools throughout Los Angeles. The volunteers were positive and steady. The hope is to continue to get the word out so that all families are aware of this service. I signed up as an @ネーブ・キャンベル volunteer. My emotions are running high during this time of uncertainty and fear, but it is in community where I find my solace.
