My whole family has been on and off in the restaurant/catering business in London and in Edinburgh for over forty years If I see a place that isn’t doing so well (figuratively 拍烏蠅 in Cantonese) I might go in and order something just because... I lived it with my parents going through up and down business rough patches, wondering if a customer would walk through the doors. When I was waitressing I’d perk up when a telephone order came through This sadly isn’t a “rough patch”. This is a terrifying no man’s land where the public are told not to go to restaurants, cafes and bars and yet they’re not being forcibly closed and it leaves all of them dangling, hanging with a noose around their necks Asking everyone to sign the petition link in my bio so that the government can lend support and give clarity to the hospitality industry and also hopefully lobby the insurance firms to provide cover in event of forced closure (OF course the insurance firms have shirked away from responsibility 😡) And if your favourite restaurant begins to offer takeaway/delivery please continue to support them! P.S. I’ve also tagged all the places in the slideshow which are invariably Asian-ish (🙈) - big up the sugar crusted char siu @wunstearoom , yakitori @jidoriuk , prawn toast scotch egg @jikonilondon , good quality affordable sushi omakase @sushiatelierlondon , solid XLB @shanghaimodern (better value than DTF IMO) and lovely @elliotscafe for just convivial fare all round」3月18日 19時12分
