Our Hubble Space Telescope is searching this spiral galaxy for the aftermath of a really big meal — a star swallowed up by a ravenous supermassive black hole at the center. Astronomers will confirm the star’s fate when they find evidence, in the form of stellar debris ejected during the event.⁣
