A year into motherhood and this is what I've learned. Regardless of what others say and do I'm still going to be Me! And that's something I want my children to see. Somewhere along the line society has told us that once we become a mother our life has to end. That the things you once did are no longer important. Even socially "she's a mom now she won't come " And slowly that girl you once knew gets pushed aside. Your new normal of motherhood is in full effect and taking over. At times it can feel like you're having a full-blown identity crisis. Like who am I?? Finding that balance can be a struggle. But you must find it. For yourself. This is me as a mother. The same girl I've always been but better!stronger, wiser and more confident than ever before. I want my children see me doing the things I love to do. Striving and reaching for my goals, so they know they can do the same. I want all my mamas to keep doing the things the things that make you happy.
