This last week has been a blur. Of grief, of worry, of fear- but also of travel and excitement and connection and joy. This week we got to travel to Mississippi to meet with an amazing group of women of all ages for the new book project. In a time when so much feels so scary and unsure, it felt so calming to sit and listen to people who have lived through so much and still have so much hope and joy and love to share, even with people they just met. This group welcomed us in with such graciousness and I can’t wait to share this special story as a part of the new book coming out next fall. But for now, here’s a small detail from a photo @sashaisrael took from this trip- a reminder to keep each other close and share in the good as much as the hard 💛 #internationalwomensday
