It was hard starting with career based around music and feeling free but I listened to everyone who hired me to to host and get into acting . Back then u had to cover up and false lashes were too dramatic . Times have changed and it seems like everyone can be & dress the way they want plus lashes are so popular ! I always snuck them in when I could and rocked the lashes anyway . When I got back into music I’ve had a blast expressing myself the way I feel . If I’m playing a part or if a shoot has a certain direction I’m open to let go and become the look of the person I’m hired to be . I guess I listened to Prince who said I want to see u in lashes and we both loved the look ! He liked the hot pants I dressed in when I first came to Paisley Park when we went out or did shoots . I remember sitting in his room at the inner continental during the diamonds & Pearls tour and he said I’m writing a song . This is for u 💜 here she comes wearing those gold hot pants again ( something like that ) I was so excited ! At that time it was always gold , red or black ! He asked me to write on the song with him 😳. I was nervous and wrote down some ideas so he grabbed the paper and switched it up to make it his but kept my my ideas !
