It’s a full contact sport with only a tiny shin guard as protection!? I watch these kids get hurt every single weekend on the field, it’s just so hard to sit and watch and support this. I’ve asked coaches what can be done...how about mandatory soft helmets (the concussion rate is thru the roof especially for girls soccer, second to boys football who are all padded up even for practice) the response was that they don’t see how helmets help the girls, and if anything they “give them a false sense of security”??? Not good enough for me! If that were the case then maybe #nfl players shouldn’t wear helmets??? What do you guys think?
