There’s nothing about @domenic_roylance’s story that’s typical. To start, he’s just finished his honours in fashion and textiles at the University of Technology Sydney and before he showed his student collection for his eponymous label, @__roylance, he had already custom-made pieces for #BillieEilish, to feature in this very magazine. “I never thought it would get picked up,” the 25-year-old designer says, remembering how an XXL hand-painted white jacket was worn by Eilish in last year’s July issue. “But seeing it appreciated and putting it on Billie was amazing.” Tap the link in bio to get to know this new design talent.
