In support of #BlackHistoryMonth we raised the Pan African flag on our Seattle campus last week in partnership with our Black Employee Network (BEN) to celebrate the importance of the flag and to honor black history.

Ian Wilson, VP of AWS HR, was present and delivered a strong message stating, “For Black and African members of the Amazon community, we hope that this flag tells you that we see you, that we value you and that we’re in it with you as we make progress together. And for other Amazonians, we hope that this flag is a reminder to learn and be curious about Black history. It was a time of pride, reflection, and awareness.” The flag will be in the plaza for the remainder of February and is open to the public. We encourage you to stop by and take a picture!
