What didn’t he do? More than anything, he created a FEELING... a feeling that being at the Palm meant family, home, celebration, and being welcome. The pivotal moments in my adult history are associated with food and celebration at the Palm, thanks to Bruce. I’m happy to say I was also there to cheer on he and his family as they opened Palm West on 50th Street, and most recently the Palm in Beverly Hills, which also hosted my (ok, iconic. It was iconic) baby shower. I was with Bruce in ‘95 when he would come home from 10 hours expediting orders in the East Hampton Palm kitchen (smelling funky), and I’ll be there with him as he continues “Lunch with Bruce” on @radioandysxm (smelling like roses, no less). I love you Bruce, and am in awe of your 35 years helping to build the Palm into the institution it is today.
