It takes: ▪️20 years for a plastic bag to decompose. ▪️50 years for plastic foam to decompose. ▪️200 years for aluminium. ▪️500 years for a plastic bottle. ▪️1,000,000 years for glass. That means if you were drinking out of a plastic bottle in the Medieval ages your bottle will JUST be decomposing in 2020!! 😬 To put that into perspective, America had just been discovered, Shakespeare was the talk of the town, Henry the 8th was the king and the Black Death had come and gone! 🐀 WTF! It’s not responsible to bring NEW plastic into the world in 2020 when we know the stats. We’re not going to be around to deal with the consequences so why should we leave it to our ancestors? 📸 @parley.tv
