Here is a fun fact.. basketball is my other love. While in highschool I was recruited for both sports by Canadian and American Universities. One of my soccer coaches told me to quit playing 🏀 because he said I needed to focus solely on soccer if I wanted to make it. I told him I would quit but secretly kept playing high school ball all the way through highschool. I loved soccer and took it seriously while keeping it fun, but basketball was something so different for me. It was time spent with my friends doing something with no 'pressure'. (Not to mention I never needed to worry about the weather 😜) Without basketball I would not be where I am. My biggest challenge growing up was fitness and basketball kept me fit in a fun way. Not to mention the mass of other benefits.
