It was a discussion on what modern beauty, skincare, and makeup is - and how to have conversations with you about it. I think in the 90s we all were used to having beauty and skincare topics thrown at us, and with very little of a dialogue back and forth. But today we chatted about how women are becoming our own experts. From discussions on clean beauty with @tataharperskincare to @lymalife explaining the science behind their supplements, it was an eye opening experience. We didn’t just talk about products, but more about the ideas that surround beauty and skincare and how women are wanting to know more about what is going into the products we put on our face and in our bodies. We’re done with the notion of “mindlessly applying things” (well said @newbybeauty) and I’m all here for it. You know that I love to share beauty and skincare finds with you, but I always want to have a sense of responsibility when it comes to how I talk about these things. It’s all just so deeply personal, and I don’t want to forget that. Thank you to @chrisellelim and @rosiehw for speaking so candidly, and to all of the panelists who discussed beauty today.
