Sheldon has been one of our very first real friends in this music world, and we always found comfort and hope in his enthusiasm, his passion, and his love for sharing and talking about music! It’s a very strange feeling to have to go through this as we’re in the midst of celebrating the early days of the band... Without Sheldon’s huge and generous heart toward this project, who knows what would’ve happened! I will never forget my very first meeting with Sheldon back in 2006, when YFE was becoming something and that we had the attention of some major labels, who were coming to Montreal to see us play, practice! We didn’t have a penny as a band, and we wanted to sound decent, so I went to meet him, well dressed, and tried to sound professional, hoping he would allow us to leave with some stuff! :) Well, since that first meeting, Sheldon became more than a friend, he became a family member for whom we would simply stop at Steve's Music Store just to talk with him, to share where we’re at, and to always thank him for what he’s done for us over the years… Sheldon passing away is a big deal for me, for YFE… We’ve been very fortunate to share unforgettable moments, laughter, and very serious conversations with him, moments that will live with us, with our music, forever… All our love and support for his close family, Jeff Sazant, who has also been a key player throughout our crazy journey!
