A year ago, I came across a bunch of old VHS tapes in my parents house. I asked what they were, and my mum said she thought they were their wedding tapes, but that she had never actually got them developed or watched them back. It was @aliceaedy idea to secretly send them off to get digitised.

Having never seen moving footage of myself as a child, I was amazed and overwhelmed to get back over eight hours of footage of my parents getting married and my siblings and I growing up.

A year on, my parents totally forgot about finding these tapes, and so we cut the footage down into a 30-minute film and surprised them on New Years Eve this year.

It was such a special experience to sit down together as a family and reflect on all these lost memories. We cried and laughed, and it reminded me of why I’m so passionate about taking photos and making films. It never seems significant at the time, but years later there’s nothing more special than being transported back to that precious memory. So this is just a reminder to never forget to capture those around you who you love! 🎥 ❤️ (P.s the soundtrack is from the Disney movie UP 😂)
