Although they were called hostesses back then, Hawaiian Airlines would often hire the reigning Miss Hawaiʻi. 🌺 👑 Holding the lei on our first Convair are Miss Hawaiʻi, Miss Maui, Miss Kauaʻi and Miss Oʻahu. Many hostesses were also required to complete Red cross training, learn navigation and know Hawaiʻi's history, geography and culture. #TBT
