‘Plastic Sea’ charity print illustration!
Did you know that every year, eight million metric tonnes of plastic waste enters our oceans? That's the equivalent of one garbage truck dumping its contents into the ocean every minute. "Plastic Sea" is my first fine art print edition of the new year and it's in collaboration with the ocean-focused non-profit organization @pangeaseed Foundation.
The artwork is an imagining of an empty ocean, a plastic sea, depleted by human impact and unsustainable consumption. All that remains are degrading pieces of colorful plastic that envelop the central figure as she descends below the waves into a frightening possible reality.
This special giclee edition print is 20x20 inches on Italian cold-press watercolor paper limited to only 100 prints.
