I felt similar in September 2014 when @jpgaultierofficial said goodbye to his pret-a-porter shows with a spectacular parody of beauty contests - but somehow this feels more final. The event was called Miss Gaultier, and icons of fashion piled into the Grand Rex theater to pay their respects to the legend of #JPG. The show was spectacular and anything but somber, it was a joyful celebration of everything and everyone Gaultier loves and was a tribute to a man who has changed the industry. At the end of the absolutely epic show I was given the “Miss Gaultier” crown and, as beauty queens often do, I fainted at which Anna Cleavland stepped over me to steal my title. The entire production was carefully choreographed but that didn’t stop the press from announcing “Model Faints On The Runway”. I guess that makes me a great actress? Watch out Meryl!
