These advanced VR environments are being used to simulate and prepare soldiers for actual hostage situations, hijackings, bomb-threats and more. What an incredible experience this was! With body movements matching seamlessly and a large area to move around in, I quickly felt pretty comfortable with the VR environment. It also felt surreal and futuristic. Having simulations booted up around us program after program felt like something straight out of The Matrix. It’s great to experience these situations in a safe environment, and you can learn a lot from reviewing your reactions and mistakes as you can watch playbacks of the sessions. The future is here! My only regret: I rather spontaneously participated in this session at Bright Day.
