The Rio Olympic cycle will always be one of my favourite cycles because for the first time in my career I really felt the impact of being part of a genuine team. We achieved some incredible results together but what will stay with me the most is the friendships and memories we all shared and these are what will last a lifetime. A lot of you won’t realise that since Rio between the 5 of us we’ve had 9 surgeries !! It shows how hard this sport really is & it also reminds us never to take what we have for granted. It’s a blessing to be able to do the sport we love everyday, so on those days when your tired, hurting and sometimes just can’t be bothered to train, remember there will come a day when you actually won’t be able to do it anymore.
