He was a brilliant set designer who passed away a year and a half ago, but I remember him often. For his friendship, and his talent. We worked together from the mid 80’s, when I used to work for Harpers and Queen with Hamish Bowles as my fashion editor, till the UK Vogue years with Lucinda Chambers as the fashion editor. Michael had the magic of coming up with the most interesting out of the box ideas, and his way of producing the sets was magical because of his limitless imagination. Flowers were always something he would bring, even if the concept was Minimal! He could not help himself. But again, he did them with such great taste. He was always such a laugh to work with. And he was always there for you, whatever you needed. I was lucky to enjoy him on a trip at the end of his life in Sicily, and will always remember him with a smile. Michael falleció hace un año y medio, pero lo recuerdo con frecuencia por su amistad y su talento.
