At the same time we also mark that it was this very event that brought us together to form the educational initiative we now call Lidè. We are simply in awe of the courage, resiliency and transformation we have been a witness to over the past decade. It seems fitting as well that this year our first participant, Roseberline who has come up through the Lidè program, and who has studied so well and so hard has passed her National Exams and is on the verge of entering University this year! We are so thrilled and proud of her hard work and of the 4 Lidè girls who will soon be following close behind her—all of whom are currently teaching in our program as shining lights! As we’ve said from the beginning of this journey —we are here for the long haul and we have no doubt that the success stories will just keep coming!
