I spent so much time crying from the weight I had gained over the years and doubting myself that I could never lose it and look the way I used to, when I thought I was “fat”. This challenge taught me so much about self love and how important it is to remind yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to. I continued to tell myself day in and day out to not forget why i started this and to keep my dream alive. I took a little time here and there to imagine what my end goal in the future looked like. I wanted to be happy and healthy and feel like myself again. There were days my diet fell off the wagon, days I couldn’t get all my macros in and there were days I couldn’t get to the gym due to various reasons. The bad days I had made me feel very discouraged and made me believe I wasn’t going to get the results I wanted to achieve in the end. Doing this challenge and getting Lauren’s feedback made me stop feeling bad if I missed a day or a week. I learned to get back on track and stopped feeling guilty that I slipped. I learned that by getting back on track, I was sending a message to everyone around me (but especially to myself) that nothing could keep me down. It served as a reminder to those around me and myself that I was dead ass serious about my health and happiness. I started to see the warrior in myself. I realized that when I hit a wall, you don't give up… you find a door. Being skinny is not happiness. Hitting goal weight is not happiness.
