Thanks to @geadditive, parts with complex geometries can also have simply stunning designs. Just look at this a-CT7 engine mid-frame from the GE Additive Pittsburgh Center.
Designed for the a-CT7 turboprop demonstrator engine, this mid-frame used to be traditionally manufactured with 300 individual components and 7 assemblies. With additive, the team got it down to just one piece, one assembly.
Part reductions like this can result in higher performance and efficiency levels, as well as significant weight reductions. And that’s the job of an additive manufacturer: making the impossible, possible. #additive #3Dprinting #avgeeks #engineering
