First time riding a rickshaw and it’s such a valuable experience 😭💖 I wore a beautiful light blue Kimono and my rickshaw’s driver brought me to this hidden spot away from all the tourists! With the view of river and trees, and with red bridge. Did you know why the red shade (vermilion) is often used for the bridges and tori gates in Japan? It is because Vermilion has the meaning of Sun (referring to Amaterasu Okami, the source of living things) and Fire(referring to the amulet). For this reason, the shade of Vermilion is often used to keep bad things away
