He is in heaven, but today is the day he was born and I’m so thankful he was born & I’d get to have him as my dad. He taught me to always make everything fun, even when everything goes wrong or something bad happens, to just laugh and say you’re making memories. He taught me to always leave everyone better off and happier than before they came in contact or interacted with you. He was the most fun, funny, jokester, life of the party, compliment giver & hard worker. He always encouraged me and made me feel like I could do anything. I miss so many things about him, from his hugs to hearing his laugh (he was always laughing) to his funny, inspiring or motivational texts he’d send me. He always said “make today better than yesterday”, no matter how awful your yesterday was, just make today a little better! My dad used to send me the Paul Simon song that says, “there will never be a father that loves his daughter more than I love you”...I listened to it as tears of love for my dad slid southwards down my face❤️I’m thankful I have, I don’t like the sound of “had” because he is and always will be my dad, a dad that I love so much. I’m thankful for every day, message, note & memory I have with my dad & that he was born on this day and that I’d get to be his daughter.
