One of my biggest fears growing up was to never over expose myself; In my culture Inequalities lay heavy between man & female for example this beautiful image I deem as art will be screen shotted sent around;
as they drink coffee, smoke their cigarettes they will begin to gossip, and presume I am a whore immediately.
Being of Armenian descent never seemed like a professional hazard or preoccupation before, but now I can’t ignore the inequality tsunami;
They say if you display your body, you’re branded a harlot, I say you are born bare and there is a sense of empowerment in embracing your beautiful body tastefully in all Shapes, Sizes, and Skin Colors.
Exposing myself is a fear of the past.
I can only hope I can empower others to break free from these invisible sexist chains, and finally feel free.
