You are utterly irreplaceable. I feel as though I was still assimilating your recent cancer diagnosis. The prognosis wasn’t good, the adenocarcinoma was growing rapidly, but death moved even faster. Losing you is devastating. My heart is completely shattered, my soul aches, and I miss you terribly. But, I’m also reminded to celebrate and appreciate the time that we had together. From this, you have taught me one final lesson, my friend: Instead of trying to hold onto life forever, embrace its ephemerality. Nothing, not even tomorrow, is guaranteed.
