Al Oerter Recreation Center serves over 17,000 members in the Flushing, Queens community.
After suffering a wound that left him with a spinal cord injury, Parks staff member Rodolfo Guevara became involved in various wheelchair sports. He now teaches classes for people of all abilities, and pushes everyone at the center to keep going, no matter their circumstance.
