The 'Sphaera’ dress is created from transparent organza leaves that are framed in a hybrid material of laser-cut white cotton and mylar, which then are layered sculpturally into a fine frame of water-jet cut stainless steel lines. The leaves are then hand-bent into shape around the body, and can be continuously re-shaped to change silhouette. A fine network of stamen expose outward, finished with handmade feathers of shuiro red and white. The 'Sphaera' dress was inspired by the concept of a living orchid avatar that is layered like an aura around Björk, magnifying her movements.
