Tonight, a boyhood dream came true for me. To captain Manchester United has been a lifelong ambition ever since I joined the club at 9 years old. I have enjoyed so many great moments with this club, signing a professional contract, playing in the youth team, training and learning from some of the best players and coaches, scoring in major finals and winning trophies with this club was a feeling I will never forget, the highs and lows as a lifelong fan. All these moments and memories have given me so much. Manchester is my city, Manchester United is my club, I always try and give everything in every session and game for the team and fans. I am truly honoured to captain the club tonight and lead this young team as I remember being where they are so hoping I can continue to help guide them as players did for me.
