My wife, kids, Family, band, friends, mgmt/team, crew, fans, writers, co producers, teachers, baristas, & whoever is figuring out the cure to whatever diseases any of us might get. MUSIC has changed my life, and on this day in this picture I was in a small town in Sussex, UK, thankful AF, having been flown out to write and work with Sir Paul Mccartney, fulfilling a lifelong dream. U could say I peaked career-wise in this picture. I told myself that week “any thing that succeeds after this week is cake on cake on cake”. Music has given me a life I could only dream of- days like today, Thanksgiving, remind me that I am blessed & fortunate & I genuinely never forget it. Not one second taken for granted. Statistically it feels like we fail more than we win at life but the coolest thing is- you’re the only one keeping your score. No one else is tallying your wins & losses- they’re just living & thinking about their own score. The people that impress me the most are the ones that are the kindest without cause, the least ego when they could act like royalty, & the ones that are the most grateful for what they have on any level. Thanksgiving started w Pilgrims & Indians (who were all prolly scared af) but I feel like it’d be cool if we pulled away from that & made it truly just a (global) day of thanks.
