I’m so excited to travel gah I love traveling so much not to mention Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in the world yet all I can do is think about him. I have literally had to hold back tears every day this week as I’ve thought about having to leave him this weekend. Then I failed to hold back tears when I explained to him yesterday that mama was gonna go on an airplane and that she’ll be back Monday and he said “Air-pane?” “Rhett air-pane?” 😢💔 . We spent a really good day together yesterday. I took almost the whole day off work (which was hard and I’m very much trying *and often failing* to navigate being a present mama and working 40 hours a week) so I could just be with him. It was the best. We took this picture at lunch at Cafe Rio on our way home from his routine 2-year-old check up at the pediatrician. He’s 95% in height and 75% in weight. My big boy.
