I am so proud to stand with these women fighting for a cleaner future for our children. Today’s #firedrillfridays was all about Environmental Justice. Did you know children of color are more likely to have respiratory issues and reproductive issues because of their disproportionate exposure to pollutants? 85% of the US’ landfills are in communities of color. I applaud @ジェーン・フォンダ for taking her time and resources to fully throw herself into this issue. I applaud @ジューン・ダイアン・ラファエル and our writers room for putting their bodies on the line and risking arrest to shout from the rooftops because conventional methods of getting this message out have not been enough. Not only is Jane advocating, but she is educating weekly to enlighten people like me who have a lot of work to do. Follow @firedrillfriday .
