ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. #BOYCOTTCVSPUERTORICO Repost the hell out of this please. Purdue University junior Jose Guzman Payano, who is from Puerto Rico, was asked at a Lafayette, Indiana, CVS to prove his immigration status.
Payano was buying cold medicine which required a valid form of government-issued identification and showed his Puerto Rican driver's license.
CVS employees turned him down, even after he explained that Puerto Rico is a US commonwealth. They even rejected him when he showed his US passport
The student's mom Arlene Payano Burgos expressed outrage over the incident in a post on Facebook which blames the problem on President Donald Trump
CVS, after being contacted by the family, now acknowledges that it will investigate the incident and confirmed that it will accept a Puerto Rico license.
