Sinking and being anchored are very different. We can have a strong anchor in life: a great support system, friends, family, art, music, counselors, teachers, foundations and resources like @afspnational. Asking for help is not weakness! We all have struggles. Don’t assume anything about anyone. Mental health issues, depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide... these things don’t discriminate. They can affect us regardless of race, sex, status, income, age, etc etc etc. We need to look out for each other. We need to look out for ourselves. It’s ok to have bad days, months, years. But we must refuse to sink. Never stop fighting! Know you’re never alone. Please seek help if you are in crisis.
