フレッド・アーミセンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (フレッド・アーミセンInstagram)「A few years ago, I met @harrell_fletcher, who was teaching a comedy class for inmates at the Columbia River Correctional Institution, a minimum security prison in Portland, OR. He was working through a PSU program @psuartandsocialpractice and the CRCI arts project @crci.art. It sounded so interesting, and I got involved by being a guest teacher for a class focusing on stand up. I’m not saying that I know everything about how comedy works, but I got to see some very funny people perform and then work with them on their sets. It was also a great way for me to learn about their experiences in prison. I liked seeing what the members of the audience in the class would laugh at. I really loved the program and went back to do more, whenever I had an opportunity. Earlier this year, @saltythunder13 started putting together a taped variety series with them called “The Inside Show”. Inmates took on the roles of writers, performers and cameramen. The show consists of sketches, music and poetry, and I was honored to be a guest host for the first episode.
