I remember feeling like I was pretty stupid and only years later, did my parents & I figure out that not having 20/20 vision was the main reason I wasn’t doing too well in school (Not going to lie, I also did pay more attention to sports than Classical Civilization or Latin - I know I’m not the only one!😂) When the Optometrist told me I would have to wear glasses, I felt like most young people probably do, insecure. Would my friends make fun of me? Would I not be cool? I definitely have been called “Four eyes” in my life but let’s cut to 2019 - I wore these proudly at the @hulu party in New York after Comic Con.
