ブリー・ラーソンさんのインスタグラム写真 - (ブリー・ラーソンInstagram)「Hard to express my gratitude for this woman: Eva Ansley. She stepped up when no one else would and helped found @eji_org with Bryan Stevenson 30 years ago. It all started when Eva, who was married and raising her son in Alabama noticed from the community level what was happening. People were being put in jail, sometimes for life or worse, death - without proper representation or due process. She started calling every lawyer she could find in the yellow pages, trying to start a grass roots movement from her living room, connecting lawyers with folks who needed help. She was rejected on average 20 times a day. She was just about to lose hope when Bryan called her. He was fresh out of Harvard Law School with a passion to use his degree to give pro bono work to those wrongly convicted. Eva is in an inspiration to all of us to be very curious about our own biases as well as what is happening within our communities. Everyone can make a difference. Thank you Eva for inspiring me to do more.
