I had so much angst going into it. What if everything goes wrong? I doubted myself. I worried that not enough people would come. I worried that people might not connect with each other or have fun. I looked at other retreats on IG & even considered cancelling it a few times out of fear of not measuring up or failure. I worried over things that did not matter. . Thank God I let all of that go & trusted what would unfold. . It was one of the best weekends I’ve ever had with ppl from all different places, all different walks...with very similar sweet, kind souls. . We worked out, we laughed, we danced, chilled & connected. . I feel like we’ve all been friends for years & I know going forward we will be. . All because we each stepped out of our own comfort zone. . That would be the crucial 1st step to finding our own superhero. The version of us we say we “wish” we could be someday. . Words cannot describe how grateful I am that each of yall were here & everything was just perfect. . There is still NOTHING like face to face interaction & quality time spent with others. No app can ever replace that. . The motto that will continue on for any retreat to follow? . Come as you are. Keep it hella REAL & know that you are accepted & loved for the superhero we see on the INSIDE first. . Ya we will no doubt work on the muscles - but we surely won’t forget that it starts from the inside out..and is supposed to be fun.🤪 . I have 2 more retreats coming up. .
