Today, 16 children – including @グレタ・トゥーンベリ and Alexandria Villaseñor – file a landmark complaint on the climate crisis to the UN child rights committee. The 16 child petitioners, aged 8-17 years old, are from Argentina, Brazil, France, Germany, India, Marshall Islands, Nigeria, Palau, South Africa, Sweden, Tunisia and the US. We support a child’s right to complain if their rights are not being upheld. The climate crisis is a #ChildRights crisis. #ClimateChange has the potential to undermine every child’s most basic rights and indeed most of the gains made in child survival and development #ForEveryChild over the past 30 years. Together we must take #ClimateAction, now.
