Every time I reached an acceptable distance they ran away - leaving me behind, lying in the cold, wet sand. Finally, after stalking them for a few days, they decided to accept me as a strange, but harmless part of their environment. This gave me the opportunity to approach them and witness the things goslings do. Just very normal things, like sleeping, eating and drinking. But I loved their curiosity and eagerness, so typical for baby animals.
