The values of fuel consumptions, CO2 emissions and energy consumptions shown were determined according to the European Regulation (EC) 715/2007 in the version applicable at the time of type approval. iamchade @jdmsteven it’s not just that they are obsessed with SUVs. Somewhere along the lines of transportation, the idea of a mini van didn’t come off as “cool.” For people with new or small families, I think the idea of an AWD small suv or three row crossover became appealing because it looks more “luxury” than a sedan or van. Wagons can offer the same or more space without the sacrifice of comfort. I do agree people like the higher seat position and the thought that it is safer - but it’s not statistically true like you said. I wish more companies gave an option for wagons in the states. Had Buick brought theirs out at the right time - I would have snagged on. I love my suv, but I would love a better looking wagon with the same space and comfort.

jdmsteven @iamchade that makes a lot of sense, I didn't think about the price point. But Americans are obsessed with little SUVs because you sit a tad higher and it's perception with safety which is not always true. I sold cars for Hyundai and now I am a product Specialist for Jaguar and Land Rover and our sedans (XE, CF, and XJ) are literal lot anchors. They take months to sell

iamchade @jdmsteven I’m not disagreeing with that at all. But, half of their lineup are SUVs for the NA market. The mistake is pulling an Audi and releasing a six figure wagon when people have been asking for a new one for years. It needs to be popular and priced right to work. Not priced out of 60% of their base who ask for said vehicle.
