On Sept. 20, millions of people around the #🌎 took to the streets to demand action on #climatechange. More than 4,500 strikes were planned in over 120 countries, and more than 500 strikes were registered in the U.S. alone. One of the flagship protests occurred in #NYC, where this photograph was taken, three days before the @unitednations Climate Summit. The protest culminated in a rally featuring speeches from several prominent climate leaders, including @グレタ・トゥーンベリ, the 16-year-old Swedish #activist. “This is an emergency.
