Reading Milton at that age, having been brought up around the omnipresent Catholicism of Buenos Aires, shattered my mind open. Milton led to Swedenborg, and then Doré and inevitably the path was open to discover William Blake. I saw there was a diferent narrative to religion, I was taken by the mythical images and inspired by the introduction of visions and the supernatural. Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening at the @tate in London right now. Had to make my way there straight from Gatwick airport.
