For the next few days we will be giving you an insight into a small selection of our exhibiting photographers, with a focus on Unique Approaches to Contemporary Photography. To introduce the theme is Asami Kiyokawa, a Japanese artist who we will be welcoming to the Fair with Arario Gallery (Shanghai, Seoul, Cheonan). Kiyokawa’s works boast individuality as she uses an embroidery technique on photographs. After studying design in Tokyo, the artist had a particular intrigue in photographs of females in fashion magazines, so developed the interest using a needle and thread, with an aim to “unveil the personalities and stories embedded in the figures”. Don’t miss the opportunity to see these fascinating works at our Fair this September!
